A travel cot for infants can be provided at no extra cost. An extra children’s bed can be provided in any of the bedrooms at a cost of £25 per stay. High chairs are provided free of charge. Please let us know in advance if you require any of these so we can have it prepared for your arrival. N.B There should not be more than 2 adults per room.
Arrival and Departure
Your accommodation at Upton Cressett will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. If you would like to arrive any earlier please contact us. We do ask that you get in touch by telephone or email a few days in advance to provide your approximate arrival time.
Upton Cressett on-site Contact
Your first point of contact during your stay will be our housekeeper Sasha Allport. Sasha lives in Bridgnorth 4 miles away. Her number is 01746767822/07583361766. Should you be arriving later than 8pm please let us know in advance. If you require alternative arrival or departure times please make ensure that this has been pre arranged. By booking your stay with Mr William and Lady Laura Cash you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for our bank details or pay over the phone by card. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the booking is required. Full payment is required at the time of reservation if your booking is made less than one calendar month prior to the start of your stay. We will send you a confirmation letter, by email upon receipt of your deposit / full payment.
Balance payment further to a deposit being made is payable one calendar month prior to your arrival date. Please make cheques payable to Upton Cressett Ltd or email email@example.com for our bank details.
A legally binding contract is entered into between Mr William and Lady Laura Cash and the guest, on the issue of a confirmation of booking and further to receipt of the deposit (or the full cost of your stay if a reservation is made less than one calendar month before the start of your stay).
Please advise us as soon as possible if you have to cancel a self-catering booking. Cancellations should be made by email. The contract requires the guest to pay for the accommodation in the event of a cancellation unless more than 4 weeks notice is given prior to the start date of the holiday, then only the loss of the deposit will occur. If less than 2 weeks notice is given prior to the start date of the holiday then we reserve the right to charge the full amount.
We will endeavour to re-let the accommodation on your behalf and, if successful, we will refund the deposit / full payment as applicable minus a £50.00 cancellation fee to cover our administrative costs.
For cancellations, we operate a two week notice non-refund cancellation policy. Cancellations made with more than two week’s notice from the booking date will receive a 50% refund.
In order to avoid charges due to cancellation, we advise you to take out insurance and details are available on request.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the reservation due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a full refund of monies paid. No further financial claims will be considered.
We require a £150 deposit for stays of more than three days. This will be fully refunded at the end of your stay so long as no material damages have been incurred (such as wine spillage on the carpets; burns , unauthorized pet stains or unauthorized pay-by-view movie rentals).
Unfortunately pets are not permitted within the properties.
Upton Cressett is strictly non-smoking. If you smoke inside a property at Upton Cressett, we reserve the right to charge a £250.00 minimum charge in respect of cleaning and deodorising the property (from the credit or debit card supplied by the Guest). If the fire detection system is tampered with, Upton Cressett Limited reserves the right to charge £350.00. Upton Cressett is Grade I listed and must have operational prevention and alert systems in the event of the accident of fire. If you find any damages or defaults in the fire detection please report them for your safety and for that of others immediately.
Wi Fi and SKY
WiFi and SKY TV is provided free of charge. We provide a pin number for use of Sky Sports and SKY movies only – this pin must not be used for pay-by-view movies, or SKY rental movies. Use of the PIN for pay-by-movie or sports events will result in monies being charged or deducted from the deposit.
Please remember that this is our family home. All guests are expected to take reasonable care of the properties and their contents and to leave them in the same condition as they were found on arrival. Guests are responsible for any breakages, damage or extra cleaning, as well as the costs associated with these, which must be reported on departure. If any problems large or small arise during your stay, please notify our housekeeper immediately so that these can be resolved effectively and efficiently. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit/ debit card, or we may send you an invoice, for the repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. We may make an additional charge if you did not report significant damage or breakage immediately and prior to your departure (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing at the point of departure.
Due to the limited periods of stay, it may not be possible to repair items during the period of rental but we shall endeavor to resolve issues immediately they are reported. No complaints will be accepted once the holiday has finished.
Mr William and Lady Laura Cash reserve the right to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay, where deemed necessary, through unacceptable behaviour, (including threats), or as a result of actions (including anti-social use of drugs/smoking/alcohol) which are likely to offend the owners or others in the locality or our staff.
No liability shall be accepted by us for loss, damage or theft of personal property belonging to guests, either in the property or from vehicles, including bicycles or other transport left on the property. Nor shall liability be accepted by the owners for accident or injury to guests, either within the property or outside. Please ensure that you have adequate travel and holiday insurance.
For Gatehouse guests, please note that the spiral staircase is an original 16th century staircase. It is not suitable for infants or the infirm. The staircase does have a safety bannister rope.
We do have vehicles coming and going from the property and children must be accompanied/supervised at all times if venturing on to the driveways, surrounding roads and lanes. We accept no responsibility for the condition of the lane to the property as maintained by the Council. Any complaints should be directed towards the Council’s Highways dept.
We have chickens and rare fowl and accept no liability for any ‘nuisance noise’. If guests have any complaint, we ask that they deal directly with our housekeeper who will try to rectify any issue immediately. We will do our utmost to make your stay enjoyable and endeavour to provide the highest standards of service. Threats to write unfavourable reviews on sites like TripAdvisor etc (or to our exclusive agencies) will result in expulsion (with 48 hours notice) from the property with no refund. Complaints made directly to our housekeeper will be resolved as soon as possible.
Upton Cressett Ltd accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
