The charming property features a former 19th century coach house with exposed oak beams, a large sitting room with high ceilings and a large writing desk. French Windows lead out to a private patio and guests also have access to the historic gardens and grounds of Upton Cressett.
It is located adjacent to The Gatehouse, winner of Best Hidden Gem at the Hudson’s Heritage Awards. The Coach House has also been the recipient of a ‘Top Recommended’ award for 2015 and 2014 from Oliver’s Travels.
The Coach House accommodates four guests.
- 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. All linen and towels provided.

- Electric cooker, microwave, American fridge/freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer.
- Sky Television. WiFi internet access.
- Travel cot and high chair available.
- Private south facing patio – perfect for outdoor dining.
- Access to the historic gardens of Upton Cressett.
- No stairs – the property is ground floor only.
During the Summer months we provide outdoor furniture for dinning and a BBQ. If you require the BBQ please ask the housekeeper as it is often in storage.
The WiFi code is provided in the house file on arrival. The heating is on a timer and the hours are written in the house file dependant on the season.
If you are arriving late or spending the day out and would like any home cooked meals prepared and waiting in the fridge with prepared veg and a pudding this can also be arranged by our housekeeper (@£60 for 4 guests). We can also provide a breakfast hamper on arrival. This consists of milk, bread from our bakery, croissants, butter, marmalade, granola, natural yogurt, orange juice, fresh fruit and ground coffee. The Shropshire breakfast hamper is a £20 supplement (serves four). Please note that we provide tea, instant coffee and sugar in jars in the kitchen.
Please note that we only allow for two cars per holiday let. If you wish to exceed this allowance this must be done by special arrangement. We do not allow guests to bring camper vans, large transit vans, horse boxes or heavy goods vehicles. We do not allow charging of electric vehicles as we do not have outside charging points.
Please note Upton Cressett has a single lane access and is steep in parts. The road is a public road and maintained by Shropshire Council.
The Coach House can be taken in conjunction with The Gatehouse to provide accommodation for eight guests.
There is a 12 % discount for booking four nights and 18 % discount for booking seven nights.
